The Role

As our People/Human Resources Lead, you will be instrumental in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent for Purewater Financial. This is a fully remote position that offers a unique opportunity to build and scale our HR functions from the ground up, shaping our culture and ensuring a positive and productive environment for all team members. You'll be a key strategic partner, contributing directly to the firm's growth and success through effective people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the firm's goals and remote-first culture.

  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including talent sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding for all roles within the firm.

  • Administer and optimize HR systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, performance management platforms) to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top-tier talent.

  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and professional development plans.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, addressing employee relations matters with empathy and professionalism.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, staying current on best practices in a remote work context.

  • Design and facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and career growth.

  • Promote and maintain a strong company culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and client value.

  • Manage employee data and maintain accurate HR records with a focus on confidentiality and data security.

Qualifications

We’re seeking candidates who are:

  • Proven experience in a human resources leadership role, preferably within a professional services firm or a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.

  • Experience with various HRIS, ATS, and performance management software.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

  • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into effective HR solutions.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of an organization.

  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

  • Experience with compensation analysis and benefit program administration is highly desirable.

  • Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) are a plus.
